Milan | Linear Theater Ciak Milano – Yesterday I had the pleasue to attend a fascinating show, the Ducati World Première 2018 in Milan in advance of EICMA. Claudio Domenicali, Managing Director (AD) of Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., with the support of renowned guests, has led the remarkable evening and has presented some impressive novelties, especially the new Ducati Panigale V4 …

After a balanced dinner prepared by myself, I sit on my desk in my beautiful B&B ‘House of Frames‘ in Milan. Near to the famous church ‘Santa Maria delle Grazie’, very close to the place where Leonardo da Vinci at the end of the 14th century he has created his famous artwork ‘Ultima Cena’. I’m writing about an event for you, in which some of the works were similar miraculous. Already waiting for the event with so many VIPs was quite challenging for me. There were so many interesting things to discover and to photograph. Others, for example, Julian Thomas, the Ducati MotoGP Press Manager, used his smartphone, or were talking heavily, as you can see in the third photo with Gigi Dall’Igna, Ducati Corse General Manager.

At 9 pm, things happened one after the other. First Danilo Petrucci of Ducati MotoGP Team Octo Pramac Racing reported in his usual kind and relaxed manner about the current season of MotoGP, the last race is taking place next Sunday in Valencia, followed by his peers of ‘Ducati Team MotoGP‘, Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo, who were also present at this top event. We will see who will be the winner of the world championships fight at the upcoming MotoGP finals (#FinalShowdown). Since we are talking about motorcycle racing, which is close so to my heart, I would like to continue with famous names.
Chaz Davies of Aruba.it Racing-Ducati Team – the second in the WorldSBK ranking this year, presented the world premiere ‘Ducati Panigale 959 Corse’ (150 hp, 102Nm / 9000, 197.5 kg), Ducati’s new flagship-V2.

Michele Pirro, Ducati MotoGP driver, had the honor to present the new Panigale V4 S (214 hp, 124 Nm / 10,000, 195 kg). This was only surpassed by Casy Stoner, so far Ducati’s only MotoGP world champion and currently developer and tester of Ducati, and the presentation of the ‘Panigale V4 Speciale’. With Racing Kit this bike has incredible 226 horsepower, and like the other V4, the new Rolling Chasis that, in addition to the engine, comes directly from the MotoGP. The V4 Speciale, which is, according to the tradition of Ducati of recent years, is a limited version, in this case reduced to 1500 pieces.

I would have liked presenting you this beautiful bike in Italian design, unfortunately it was not possible for us journalists to photograph it after the show. But I would like to retrieve this to the EICMA, which will start tomorrow and finally present it from there. I’ll write about yesterday’s other world premieres at a later time, since it has become late after a long day in Milan. Tomorrow morning I have to leave soon again to go to the fair. I recommend you to follow me on my Facebook and Instagram accounts, there you will always find news from EICMA.
